Just take a moment. You may have been conditioned to tune out this topic, but stop and think. If there is any reason to have hope for a future filled with love and purpose, it has to come from somewhere beyond ourselves. It has to come from a God who not only exists but has the power to do something to help you.

Only Jesus has the words of eternal life.
There is no place else to go. All other religion founders are dead. A world without a higher power to turn to is a dog-eat-dog world where competition and fighting to survive never end. But there is the one God who sees you and longs for a relationship with you. No matter how far away from God you are today – no matter what you’ve done – it’s only one step back to God. He wants you. He wants all your messed up, broken pieces.

There is one God who sees you.

He knows your name, your fears, your doubts, your brokenness. And here’s the best part: He longs for a relationship with you. Not because you’re perfect, but because you’re His.

No matter how far away from God you feel today—no matter what you’ve done, no matter the regrets, the mistakes, the darkness—it’s only one step back to Him. Just one.

He wants you. All of you. Every messed-up, broken piece.

You are not too far gone. You are not beyond His reach. So pause. Think. Let that truth sink in.

It’s all found in Him

How it began...

The Fall of Man

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Gen 1:1) “The LORD God planted a garden eastward, in Eden, and there he put the man whom he had formed.” (Gen 2:8)

“The LORD God commanded the man, saying, ‘You may freely eat of every tree of the garden; but you shall not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; for in the day that you eat of it, you will surely die.’” (Gen 2:16-17)

God didn’t want puppet-like people following him because they had no other choice, so he gave them the freedom to choose.

“When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took some of its fruit, and ate. Then she gave some to her husband with her, and he ate it, too.” (Gen 3:6)

Adam and Eve rejected God’s way. They broke their close relationship and started the count-down to their physical death.

“The LORD God said, ‘Behold, the man has become like one of us, knowing good and evil. Now, lest he reach out his hand, and also take of the tree of life, and eat, and live forever—’  Therefore the LORD God sent him out from the garden of Eden.” (Gen 3:22-23)

It would be horrible to live forever in a broken state. They suffered consequences but in the end being forced out was for their good.

“All have sinned.” (Rom 3:23) “For the wages of sin is death.” (Rom 6:23)

Just as Adam & Eve got expelled from the garden for just one rejection of God’s way, so just one sin keeps us from going to heaven, a place more glorious than the Garden.  We are way past the one.

The Hope of Heaven

God has a rescue plan! We can’t ever be good enough for heaven,  but we can made pure enough, washed clean by the shed blood and righteousness of Jesus. Our creator Jesus was born as a baby, led a perfect life, died for our sins in our place, and rose again to life.

“While we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Rom 5:8) Even at our worst, no matter what we’ve done, we are loved and wanted.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only born Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)

You must choose to believe the rescue plan or reject it. Will you say yes to Jesus or no? Where will you spend your forever?

“If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”  (Rom 10:9)

He makes us clean inside.

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)

Remember the rescue.

“For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, that no one would boast.”  (Eph 2:8-9)
